Who we help
How does it work?
It's an easy, three-step process.
Step 3
Get your money back, often in as little as 2 weeks, and spend it on whatever you like!
How do CIS rebates work?
Under the Construction Industry Scheme (CIS), contractors are required to deduct tax from payments made to subcontractors. Referred to as CIS deductions, these are meant to cover the subcontractor's tax liability. A CIS tax rebate is HMRC's way of refunding you for any tax you've overpaid.
How can Baa help with your rebate?
We're here to make your life easier. Our accountants are experienced, quick, and accurate. They'll make sure your CIS rebate submission is correct, compliant – and if you're owed money, we'll help make sure you get it back. Plus, if you haven't already, we'll help you claim back for the last four years.
When can I submit my CIS rebate?
You can submit your CIS rebate to us online or via post at any time. While we can't officially file it until the 6th April, if you send us everything well in advance you'll beat the queue and get your cashback faster!
Rest assured,
you're in good hands with Baa

FAQs
Who is eligible for a CIS rebate?
Firstly, you must be registered with HMRC under the Construction Industry Scheme and your CIS deductions must have been made by a contractor in line with CIS regulations.
In order to receive a rebate, your tax liability for the year must be lower than the amount deducted by your contractor.
What do I need for my CIS rebate claim?
You'll need CIS statements, proof of identity, invoices and receipts, and your UTR number. You may also need to submit payroll records if you employ others – or a P60/P45 if you've been employed.
How do I now if I'm due a CIS rebate?
Knowing whether you can claim a CIS rebate will become clear when you fill out your Self Assessment Tax Return (SATR.)
Because you're required to record all of your income from the previous year and calculate the tax, you'll easily be able to see if you've overpaid on your CIS deductions – and if so, by how much.
How long does the process take?
At Baa, our accountants work hard to get back the money you're owed as quickly and efficiently as possible. So long as the information you provide is correct, you could receive your rebate in as little as two weeks from the date of submission.
